2020 Ford Territory spotted in BGC before launch

The new model is expected to be launched in August.

Ford Philippines recently announced that they will be introducing the all-new 2020 Ford Territory crossover SUV in the local market. They even revealed some of the specifications just a few days ago.

Now it looks like the upcoming and much awaited (judging by the comments on social media) crossover’s August 2020 launch is getting closer as it was just spotted driving in Bonifacio Global City, two of them to be exact.

We came across a YouTube vlog documenting a car meet in Burgos Circle in BGC, a popular meet-up place for car enthusiasts in Metro Manila. The vlog was uploaded by British couple George and Lucy of The Juicy Vlog. While walking around, they came across a closed nearby street and in the background were two Ford Territorys, a light blue one and a red one, both as shown in Ford PH’s press releases, albeit quite blurred and difficult to make out. You can see it at the 02:35 mark of the video embedded below.

Based on what we saw in the vlog, Ford PH is shooting a video commercial or possibly the official launch video of the Territory. An online launch is definitely to happen as the COVID-19 pandemic doesn’t show signs of slowing down in the country just yet.

And further cementing the sighting in the vlog is another YouTube video we found. Uploaded by scrumvlog, the video shows a very clear sight of the two Ford Territorys seen earlier, driving around BGC while following a motorcycle with a backrider holding a camera. This sighting shows us a clear picture of what is in store for the Ford Territory once it reaches our territory.

As announced by Ford Philippines, the all-new Territory will be launched in our market by August. No exact date was given but we do know most of the specifications as well as its powertrain which will be a 1.5-liter turbo mated to a CVT. Pricing is unknown as of this posting.
