2022 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 Launched in PH with Php 769K starting price (w/ spec sheet)
Nearly two years after first being unveiled in Thailand back in 2019, the facelifted Mitsubishi Mirage, at least the G4 in sedan form, is finally in the country. The Mirage nameplate is one of Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation’s (MMPC) top-selling models, selling over 92,000 units since its launch in 2013.
Interestingly, the Mirage G4 has been introduced, independent of the Mirage hatchback that it’s based on, unlike during its initial launch when Mitsubishi unveiled it in 2013, a full year after the hatchback. While the Mirage G4 has been in the market for around 8 years now, the updated version is just a facelift but with a lot done.
The entire front fascia is all new, now wearing Mitsubishi’s signature Dynamic Shield design. Multi-reflector halogen headlights remain as standard but with a new design. The side remains pretty much the same as the pre-facelift model except for a new set of 15-inch alloy wheels. Over at the back, it gets a new rear bumper with a faux diffuser. Unlike the Mirage G4 in other markets however, the taillights remain the same. Inside, not much has been changed for the updated Mirage G4. New is a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system which now features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
Exclusive to the top-spec GLS variant are front fog lights, LED indicators on the side mirrors, smart keyless entry with push button start, coming home and leaving home lights, remote trunk release, leather-wrapped steering wheel, automatic climate control, and a reverse camera.
Under the hood, no updates have been made to the engine. The 2022 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 is still powered by a 1.2-liter 3A92 inline-3 cylinder MIVEC petrol engine that’s good for 77 horsepower and 100 Nm of torque. Transmission choices still remain the same with a 5-speed manual or INVECS-III continuously variable transmission (CVT).
In terms of safety, the 2022 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 gets Dual Front Airbags, Brake Override System, 3-pt. Seatbelts for all passengers, and ISOFIX tethers as standard. The GLS variant adds an Anti-lock Braking System and Emergency Stop Signal.
Color choices for the 2022 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 are Red Metallic, White Solid, Titanium Gray Metallic, and Cool Silver Metallic. The first two are exclusive to CVT equipped variants with the latter available on a by-order basis.
MMPC will be adding a free Preventive Maintenance Service (PMS) Package up to 2 years or 25,000 km (whichever comes first) with free sanitation service to all customers who will purchase a Mirage G4 from August 28 to November 30, 2020.
The 2022 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 is now available at all Mitsubishi Motors dealerships nationwide. See the full list of variants and their corresponding prices below:
