First batch of 2023 Honda BR-V units for PH have arrived

Following several social media teasers, the opening of reservations, and a public preview at the 8th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) back in September, the first batch of 2023 Honda BR-V units have arrived on Philippine shores.

This was announced by Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) in a press release and comes a little over two weeks ahead of the much-awaited 7-seater compact family MPV’s official launch in the country.

While we already know what the Honda BR-V will look like inside and out and its variants. However, information on equipment was a bit scarce with only a few bits already announced. That is until now as HCPI has also announced what we can expect from it. All variants will get a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, reverse camera, and speed sensing door locks, while remote engine start will be standard on CVT variants.

It is also now confirmed that the top-spec 1.5 VX variant will be equipped with the full suite of Honda SENSING advanced driver-assistance technology which is composed of Collision Mitigation Brake System (CMBS), Auto-High Beam (AHB), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Lead Car Departure Notification System (LCDN), Road Departure Mitigation System with Lane Departure Warning (RDM with LDW), and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow (LSF). It will also come with a LaneWatch Camera.

As for its powertrain, like we previously reported, the all-new 2023 Honda BR-V will have under its hood a 1.5-liter Inline 4-cylinder i-VTEC engine that produces 121 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque, paired to an Earth Dreams CVT. Again, this is shared with the Honda City and City Hatchback, and HR-V S.

HCPI has also confirmed that the previously announced price ranges for the all-new model are actually the official prices. As a recap, these are as follows:

  • 1.5 S M/T – Php 1,100,000
  • 1.5 S CVT – Php 1,190,000
  • 1.5 V CVT – Php 1,300,000
  • 1.5 VX CVT Honda SENSING – Php 1,390,000

The all-new 2023 Honda BR-V is set to be officially launched in the Philippines this coming November 21, 2022. It is surely something to look forward to.
