Updated Isuzu D-MAX finally in PH
After quite a wait, Isuzu Philippines has finally introduced the updated version of its D-MAX midsize pickup truck, nearly two years after it was first revealed in Thailand in 2021. It was shown-off alongside the refreshed mu-X which was quietly introduced to the local market a few months ago.
While changes are minor, the refreshed Isuzu D-MAX does get a handful of exterior and interior updates to keep it fresh, especially with several newer models now available in its segment.
For its exterior, the updated Isuzu D-MAX gets a redesigned front grille with softer edges and a gloss paint finish, new front overrider, new 18-inch alloy wheels for the LS-A and LS-E variants, and a new exterior color option called Islay Gray. As for its interior, the LS-E gets a new leather seat pattern and full-black color scheme.
Under the hood, the Isuzu D-MAX remains powered by options of a 1.9-liter RZ4E and 3.0-liter 4JJ3-TCX turbodiesel Inline 4-cylinder engines. The former makes 150 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque while the latter produces 190 horsepower and 450 Nm. Both can be paired to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission, depending on the variant.
As for safety, like before, the LS-E 4×4 variant gets the full suite of Isuzu’s Advanced Driver-Assist System (ADAS), giving it autonomous emergency braking adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and blindspot monitoring with rear cross traffic alert.
Pricing has slightly increased for the 2023 Isuzu D-MAX, specifically the LS-A and LS-E variants. Check-out the full list of variants and pricing below:
