Nissan Livina is arriving in PH next week

After being spotted on a vehicle transporter on local roads last month, we now have an official date for the introduction of Nissan’s latest 7-seater compact MPV, the Mitsubishi Xpander-based Livina.

Set to be launched in the Philippines on September 6, a little less than a week from now, the Nissan Livina first made its global debut in 2019 for the Indonesian market. Our market will be the first outside our ASEAN neighbor to introduce the model.

While Nissan Philippines has not revealed any details about the upcoming Livina, it is safe to expect several similarities with the Mitsubishi Xpander. It shares the same body but with some changes to make it distinctively Nissan. It gets its own unique front fascia with Nissan’s V-Motion grille, as well as split LED headlights and daytime running lights. It also gets a different set of alloy wheels, different taillight clusters, and a different rear bumper.

Inside, the Nissan Livina is basically the same as lower variants of the current Mitsubishi Xpander with only the Nissan logo and seat material being different. Other changes could include the infotainment system

Under the hood, we can expect the Nissan Livina to have the same powertrain as the Mitsubishi Xpander. That is a 1.5-liter Inline 4-cylinder gasoline engine that produces 104 horsepower and 141 Nm of torque, paired to either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission.

Again, the Nissan Livina will have its launch on September 6. It will also most likely have a public appearance at the upcoming 2022 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) on September 15 to 18.
