Toyota releases more new teasers of all-new Land Cruiser Prado ahead of global reveal
Toyota is continuing the teasing for the latest version of one of its strongest nameplates, the Land Cruiser Prado, which is set to see its global debut this coming August 2, 2023.
To be known simply as the Land Cruiser for the North American market, and as the Land Cruiser Prado for other markets like ours in the Philippines, the all-new version will be the Prado’s fifth generation. Toyota is keeping us excited with a new set of teasers images.
Like what we’ve seen in previous teasers, and the all-new Lexus GX revealed a few weeks ago, the all-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado will wear a design inspired by previous generations of Land Cruiser with a boxier overall body shape.
What is seen in the teasers is that the new Land Cruiser for North America will have rectangular headlights, and an old school looking front grille with the Toyota name spelled-out. It appears that it will be heavily reminiscent of the 60-series Land Cruiser which joins it in the teaser image.
On the other hand, the Land Cruiser Prado for global markets will have a more modern set of headlights. We’re also given a glimpse of the taillights which are still vertically-oriented like previous generations of the model, and unlike on its Lexus counterpart. Photos of its interior have not yet been revealed but a teaser image of its center console also shows a 4WD mode selector toggle, electronic parking brake, as well as a button for the locking differential.
Also, it is said that the North American Land Cruiser will have a different front end from the Land Cruiser Prado. The former will take on a more retro theme while the latter will be more modern.
The global reveal of the all-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, or simply Land Cruiser for the North American market, is set to happen tomorrow, August 2, 2023, at 10:00 AM Japan Time (9:00 AM Philippine Time) and will be livestreamed on the official Toyota Motor Corporation YouTube Channel.
