Nissan confirms launch of new e-POWER model at BIMS 2026

The 47th Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS) is approaching, happening this coming March 25-April 5, 2026. Why it matters to us is because it’s essentially a preview of what’s to come to our market as Thailand shares similar needs and conditions as ours.
Among the automotive brands participating is Nissan which has just confirmed that it will be launching a new e-Power model, and we already have an idea of what it’ll be.
That will be the heavily revised Kicks e-Power, based on the Kait, which we earlier reported could be having its regional debut at the 47th BIMS. This information was based on another report by Thai-based automotive publication Autolife Thailand, and we couldn’t think of any other possible new e-Power model to make its debut there.
As a recap, the Kait is essentially a heavily redesigned version of the P15 generation Kicks. As mentioned earlier, it arrived in our market in 2022, while it made its first-ever appearance way back in 2016, making it 10 years old this year.
Changes would be a more up-to-date exterior with a split headlight design, large front grille, and funky 17-inch “Blade” wheels, along with new horizontal taillights. The interior will also receive a slight redesign, along with more soft-touch surfaces, angular lines, restyled air vents, a possibly new infotainment system, and new interface for the seven-inch digital instrument cluster.
Alongside what might be the new Kicks e-Power, Nissan will also be showcasing at the 47th BIMS its other “core” models. Among these will be a special edition Serena e-Power with a Beige Cashmere Gold and black roof combination paint job, the X-Trail e-Power e-4orce, Almera, and Navara.
Are you excited for the refreshed Nissan Kicks e-Power? TheAutoPH Team will be at the 47th Bangkok International Motor Show for coverage so we’ll surely be showing you this new e-Power model.
