Nissan is teasing a possible electrified Ford Bronco rival off-roader SUV

Nissan is having a very busy week. After the initial reveal of the all-new Nissan X-Trail and Juke, along with teasers of all-new generations of models such as the Skyline and Xterra.
Now, the Japanese automaker is now teasing two new concept vehicles that will be unveiled at the upcoming 2026 Auto China in Beijing. One appears to be a compact crossover, while the other which we are very curious about is a possible new off-roader SUV that’s totally different from the Xterra which is set to arrive in the North American market.
Not much information has been revealed about these two concepts, and both are still unnamed as of this writing, but we do have our assumptions based on available information.

Based on its size and stature, the off-road SUV concept looks to be a potential Ford Bronco rival with its large boxy shape, and the presence of what appear to be auxiliary lights used for off-roading. Also obvious is a large amount of ground clearance and chunky all-terrain tires. The front fascia gets illuminated rectangles that are reminiscent of older Nissan pickups and SUVs, and the Nissan name is spelled-out and illuminated as well.

As for the second concept, it’s a more traditional crossover and could wear the latest iteration of Nissan’s V-Motion design language as seen on the latest Leaf and Ariya. We’ll likely also see another play on angles, triangular shapes, and diagonal lines as hinted by the taillights.
Nissan has also hinted at these two models having some form of electrification, saying in their press release that these will become “another important milestone in the process of electric drive and intelligent transformation of Nissan.”
We don’t know if these models will be exclusive to the Chinese market, or whether they’re also set to go for export once they enter production, but Nissan has definitely gotten our attention. Again, these will be revealed at the upcoming 2026 Auto China, happening this coming April 24 to May 3, 2026 in Beijing, China.
