The final Tesla Model S and X have rolled off the production line

We reported earlier this year that the Tesla Model S and Model X would be discontinued in favor of producing its new Optimus humanoid robots, where the Fremont factory’s assembly lines for the luxury sedan and SUV would be converted to produce the robots, alongside producing the Model 3, Model Y, and the Cybertruck.

Last May 10, 2026, the final units of the Tesla Model S and Model X rolled off its production line, where a small send-off ceremony was held to celebrate the vehicle’s production and milestones. In fact, the last 350 units of these cars to be produced are the invitation-only Signature Edition, where each one was priced at $159,420, or roughly Php 9.8-million.

These special vehicles were based on the top-of-the-line Plaid models, meaning they produce 1,020 horsepower from a tri-motor all-wheel drive system, and 0 to 100kph sprint times in under 2.5 seconds, with the Model S doing it in under 2 seconds.

These come finished in a deep Garnet Red paint finish, with gold accents found on the badging (the Tesla logo, Plaid badge, and Signature badge) and the brake calipers for the Model S’ carbon ceramic brakes.

The interior has white Alcantara upholstery with gold piping and Plaid seat badges, alongside “Signature” door sills, and a plaque on the dashboard with each vehicle’s unique serial numbers, and Signature edition key fobs with Garnet Red and gold accents, coming in a matching serial number box.
These come with the Luxe Package, which includes Full Self-Driving (Supervised), four years of premium service, Supercharging, and Premium Connectivity. Now, these cars are extremely limited as they are invite-only, and there’s also a clause that prevents these special cars from being resold right away, so it will be a very long time to get one.

The discontinuation effectively erases the chances of these two models being officially offered by Tesla Philippines, with a handful of examples being brought in by gray market importers. However, there’s no denying the impact that these two electric cars have had on the automotive industry, so these can really be seen as legendary cars that deserve their status.
