All-new Toyota Hilux is officially on sale in PH with Php 1.772M starting price
Following the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Hybrid and Land Cruiser FJ which were previewed alongside it at the 10th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) last June, the all-new Toyota Hilux is now officially available in the Philippines.
The ninth generation of the most popular pickup truck in the country, this new model brings plenty of refinements to the long-running nameplate, and also brings it into the world of electrification with its first-ever battery electric vehicle (BEV) version available on the market.
The all-new Toyota Hilux’s lineup starts with the entry-level 2.8 E 4×2 M/T variant, and is topped-off by the new BEV variant. All the variants and each one’s pricing is as follows:
- Hilux 2.8 E 4×2 A/T – Php 1,772,000
- Hilux 2.8 E 4×4 M/T – Php 1,903,000
- Hilux 2.8 G 4×2 M/T – Php 1,798,000
- Hilux 2.8 G 4×2 A/T – Php 1,849,000
- Hilux 2.8 Conquest 4×2 A/T – Php 2,273,000
- Hilux 2.8 V 4×4 M/T – Php 2,533,000
- Hilux 2.8 Conquest 4×4 A/T – Php 2,611,000
- Hilux BEV 4×4 – Php 2,990,000
All but the BEV variant are now powered by the tried-and-tested 2.8-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel engine known as the 1GD-FTV, carried over from the previous generation. As before, it produces 204 horsepower and 420Nm of torque with a six-speed manual transmission, or 500Nm with a six-speed automatic transmission.
Meanwhile, the Hilux BEV 4×4 is powered by dual (front and rear) electric motors that produce a combined 196 horsepower, and 200Nm of torque from the front motor, and 269Nm from the rear motor. These are paired to a 59.2kWh lithium-ion battery that allows it to drive up to a modest 315km on a single charge, supported by Type 2 AC charging and CCS2 DC charging.
