One of the biggest qualms of EV ownership is finding a place to charge, especially within the city. This is what ACMobility is aiming to address within Makati City this year.

The company has a target of setting up at least 74 charging stations within the city by Q1 2025. Currently, there are 47 operational charging stations across the city, most notably found in car parks like Valero 2, Dela Rosa 1, the Makati Stock Exchange, and Solaris One.

New DC charging stations are popping up in places like Makati, making things more convenient for those who work or live nearby.

Expect to see 27 additional charging points within the city, with 19 new DC fast charging points in places like the Corinthian and Legaspi car parks. Several of these charging stations will also be operational 24/7, allowing people who commute late at night and early morning to be able to charge their vehicles if needed.

We hope that this will help remedy the situation of not having many charging stations available, including those that hog chargers or leave their vehicles plugged in. Currently, ACMobility charges Php 28.50 per kWh for AC charging and Php 35.00 per kWh for DC charging, so this is a step in the right direction.
