The all-new MG ZS will be launched in PH on July 3

MG Motor Philippines is set to officially launch the all-new second generation of its popular ZS subcompact crossover very soon.
Set to formally hit the market on July 3, 2025, the second generation MG ZS was previewed at the 20th Manila International Auto Show last April, months after its global debut in August last year.

The Sino-British automaker has revealed a few specifications which you can read about here, but not everything is clear just yet.
What we do know is that there will be a hybrid-powered variant, putting together a 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine and an electric motor that produces 100kW/250Nm, and 1.83 kWh battery. Combined output is a respectable 196 horsepower and 465 Nm of torque which are great for a small crossover.

Based on documents from the Land Transportation Office (LTO), we might also see other non-hybrid variants. These could come with a naturally-aspirated 1.5-liter engine making 110 horsepower and 140Nm of torque, mated to a CVT.
There’s also a turbocharged version making 170 horsepower and 275Nm although this is unlikely as the documents specifically mention a displacement of 1,495cc which is only for the naturally-aspirated version.

Pricing is not yet available but given that their vehicles have always been competitive, we won’t be surprised to see this come very affordable. We don’t have to wait too long to find out as the launch is less than a month from now.
