It looks like the all-new Toyota RAV4 will be launching in PH soon with AWD, two variants

It seems like Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is going to have a very busy year ahead. Fresh from the introductions of the Ativ, bZ4X, and GR Corolla in the fourth quarter of last year, we know that TMP may be launching the Land Cruiser 300 HEV soon, but there’s more.

More recently coming out on the List of Recognized EVs of the Department of Energy (DOE) is the all-new sixth generation Toyota RAV4, a sign of huge things to come for the world’s pioneering compact crossover here in the Philippine market.

While most information is locked behind TMP’s selected file-hosting service, enough information is available to us, such as its variants.

We’re seeing that the 2026 Toyota RAV4 will be available in two trims in our market. First is the 2.5 LTD HEV AWD CVT, and second is the 2.5 ADV HEV AWD CVT. That’s quite the alphabet soup, but in case you haven’t picked it up yet, yes, the 2026 Toyota RAV4’s local launch may mark the return of an all-wheel drive system to the compact crossover locally.

The LTD HEV AWD trim will likely be based on the Core version of the RAV4, while the ADV HEV AWD, as its name suggests, will likely be based on the more rugged Adventure version.

Based on available data, both variants will come powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder Atkinson Cycle engine (A25A-FXS), paired to an 100kW electric motor and 1.09kWh lithium-ion battery. Maximum engine output is 137kW or 186 horsepower, and the system is mated to a CVT

Other available information includes the RAV4’s dimensions. The LTD HEV AWD 4,600mm of length, 1,855mm of width, and 1,695mm of height. On the other hand, the ADV HEV AWD is slightly larger and taller at 4,620mm long, 1,855mm wide, and 1,745mm tall.

That’s all we have for now, based on what’s available to us. If you want to know more about the all-new Toyota RAV4, you can read on what to expect through this link

The return of a Toyota RAV4 with all-wheel drive surely sounds very exciting, especially with the compact crossover being exclusively available with a front-wheel drive drivetrain for a couple of years now. Hopefully, we find out more information about this soon.
