BIMS 2023: Hyundai Stargazer gets a better dashboard
The Hyundai Stargazer was launched here in the Philippines last year and while pretty much everything about it is really good, it did have one thing that made some buyers go for some of its rivals instead—the dashboard design.
Hyundai seems to be listening to their customers as they just launched the Stargazer for the Thai market and it comes with a slightly updated dashboard design which should be able to resolve what we think is its biggest design flaw.
To be specific, the dashboard of the Stargazer, specifically the panel housing the instrument cluster and infotainment system is not exactly the best thing to see, especially with its thick bezels made worse by its light gray color, making it more visible. For the Thai market, Hyundai has trimmed the thick bezel by a bit, making it thinner, and replaced the material with some gloss black which we think both look a lot better and more premium.
The rest of the Thai-market Hyundai Stargazer remains the same as what we have here in terms of equipment and powertrain, except for an available higher variant that comes with a black roof, 2nd row captain seats, and automatic climate control.
Right: Hyundai Stargazer for Philippines
Now you’re probably wondering when this will come to the Philippines. With the Stargazer just recently launched, it may take a bit longer considering that Hyundai Motor Philippines will still definitely have a lot of the current units in their inventory. We are hoping sooner than later.
