BMW PH introduces another update for the 318i

One of BMW’s mainstays is its 3-Series, which is already 50 years old. With the incoming Neue Klasse update on the horizon, the already established G20 generation has already undergone its mid-cycle Life Cycle Impulse (LCI) update, which we already got around two years ago.

But what BMW Philippines has done this time around is update its 318i Professional offering with new trims and features around to keep things fresh. For Php 3,490,000, it’s even Php 100,000 cheaper than the previous Business, which ran for Php 3,590,000.

What’s new? The exterior gets new 18-inch V-spoke style 780 wheels, alongside M Shadowline trim on more exterior bits. This also has updated LED headlights and redesigned front and rear bumpers.
The interior also gets a new two-spoke steering wheel (similar to those found in the 5-Series), new hidden air vents with ambient lighting elements. There’s also Vernasca leather upholstery and Dark Graphite matte interior trim, versus the glossy black trim used previously.

The BMW Widescreen Display with a 14.9-inch infotainment screen and 12.3-inch driver’s display still remains, complete with support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and sound via the BMW HiFi sound system, and triple-zone climate control. Also, aside from its usual suite of driver assistance systems, the 318i now comes with front and rear parking sensors (PDC) and the addition of BMW ConnectedDrive.

It’s still powered by the 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged gas engine with 156 horsepower and 250Nm of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The car will come with a five-year or 200,000km warranty (whichever comes first), and this will also be available in limited quantities.
