BMW PH launches the X3 PHEV for Php 4.790M

After countless teasers, BMW Philippines has finally taken the wraps off the latest-generation X3 (G45). Despite what we thought, we didn’t expect BMW to go all-in with electrification as it drops the diesel powertrains in favor of a plug-in hybrid drivetrain.

Now coming only in one variant – the X3 30e xDrive M Sport PHEV – it’s priced at Php 4,790,000 and is available in seven different colors: Arctic Race Blue Metallic, M Brooklyn Gray Metallic, M Fire Red Metallic, Dune Gray Metallic, Sophisto Gray Metallic, Black Sapphire Metallic, and Alpine White.

This X3 comes standard with the M Sport cosmetics such as more aggressive front and rear bumpers, 20-inch M Light Alloy wheels, and it comes with an Adaptive Suspension and the BMW Iconic Glow grille.

The new powertrain packs a punch: a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission are mated to an electric motor, capable of 299 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque.
The 0-100kph sprint is done in 6.2 seconds, with a top speed of 215kph, but most importantly, it can drive up to 90km on pure electric range.

The cabin is upholstered in black M Veganza leather with Alcantara, with fine aluminum trim to highlight the cabin.

The displays measure 12.3 inches for the driver’s screen, include a heads-up display with augmented reality directions, and 14.9 inches for the infotainment, which runs on BMW Operating System 9, with features like wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and BMW ConnectedDrive services.

Other niceties include a Harman Kardon Surround Sound system, a wireless charger, an interior camera, tri-zone automatic climate control, and a comprehensive suite of advanced driver assistance systems like Active Cruise Control with Stop and Go support, and Parking Assistant Plus with a 360-degree camera.

Like its other electrified offerings, the X3 PHEV will come with a portable charger, a five-year or 200,000 km (whichever comes first) comprehensive BMW warranty for the car, and an eight-year or 120,000 km warranty for the electric battery.
