BMW Philippines, under the distributorship of SMC Asia Cars Distributors, Inc. is starting its 2025 by expanding its lineup with a new electrified variant for one of its longest-running nameplates—the X5.
While it may seem like any other X5, it’s actually the xDrive50e which is a plug-in hybrid, as evidenced by the presence of a charging door on the front fender.

Powering this is a 3.0-liter B58 turbocharged straight-six gasoline engine with an electric motor and 25.7 kWh lithium-ion battery. This combination produces a total of 489 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque, mated to an 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission.

Again, it looks like every other BMW X5 on our streets. It does come standard with an M Sport package for more flair, which gives it an M Sport bodykit and new 21-inch M Sport wheels.
