What could these four models from BYD Cars PH be?

It seems that the BYD Philippines is off to a very strong start in the Philippines this 2026. First after announcing the arrival of its luxury arm Denza in the country, its mainstream arm, BYD Cars Philippines, under the distribution of ACMobility, has possibly shown off four cars that it may launch within the year.

From a photo posted on the BYD Sealion 6 Community Philippines Facebook group, this photo could have possibly been taken at a BYD dealer conference held in Okada Manila showcasing four placeholder cars with different segments: a BEV Crossover, a BEV SUV, a DM-i SUV, and a DM-i Sedan.

Going by what we’ve seen recently, it’s very easy to predict what three out of the four could be.

For the BEV crossover, this is most likely the Atto 2. We’ve seen the LTO documents for the model as early as May 2025.

It’s slated to come in two variants, the Dynamic, and Premium. The former has a smaller 32kWh battery with an indicated maximum range of 280km and an electric motor with a 70kW output (94 horsepower).

The latter has a larger 47kWh battery capable of going up to 380km on a single charge and a beefier electric motor, capable of producing 130kW (174 horsepower).

This is followed by the BEV SUV and DM-i SUV, which could possibly be the Sealion 7 and Sealion 8 DM-p. These two have recently appeared on the Department of Energy (DOE) List of Recognized EVs.

The Sealion 7 is a fastback-styled fully electric crossover capable of 390 horsepower and 690Nm of torque. The two motors are paired to an 82.56kWh battery allowing for up to 456km of range.

On the other hand, the Sealion 8 DM-p, a luxury midsize crossover that’s also known as the Tang L. It comes with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, paired to dual electric motors and a 35.63kWh battery. The system produces a combined 544 horsepower and is capable of driving for up to 1,017km on a single full charge and tank of gas.

These two are in the premium side of the lineup, signaling BYD’s intentions to further occupy more segments in the automotive market.

Finally, the DM-i sedan could be anything from the Seal 06 DM-i, a midsized sedan which is capable of driving up to 1,505km combined and 140km of pure electric range from its Super DM-i drivetrain.

We could also possibly be looking at the Seal 05 DM-i, an entirely new compact sedan that could replace the Seal 5 DM-i. This model’s claim to fame is that it’s capable of driving up to 2,000km combined, and a more generous 128km of pure electric range, alongside updating the aesthetics to fall more in line with the current Ocean lineup.

With BYD Cars Philippines having a very strong 2025 with nearly 26,000 cars sold, do you think these new models will help sustain their growth and volume?
