Changan CS75 Plus can 17.3 km/l on the highway

After sharing with us the Changan Alsvin and CS35 Plus’s fuel economy figures, Changan Motor Philippines this time shares with us the results of the CS75 Plus’s test, conducted in partnership with the Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP).

The said fuel economy test was held on July 20 and 22, 2021, where the CS75 Plus was driven a total distance of 180.65 kilometers from Shell NLEX-Balagtas going north to the terminus of the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) and going back south to the Shell of Asia, also along the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) in Bulacan.

The CS75 Plus variant used for the fuel economy test was the 1.5 A/T and at an average speed of between 65 to 80 kilometers per hour, it was able to achieve 17.3 km/L on the highway.

On the other hand, for city driving, the same model of CS75 Plus provided a result of 8.933 km/L for a distance of 90.7 kilometers. This particular test followed a route starting from Makati, going through Pasay and Manila Cities, to Quezon City, and vice versa, with varying speeds in compliance with traffic rules and according to road conditions.

The CMPI and the AAP carried out the highway and city driving test runs for the CS75 Plus with realistic driving parameters. The vehicle used was fueled to the brim, all OEM equipment present; tire pressures set at OEM specifications; air conditioning set to medium cool thermostat setting; radio either not used, on low volume, or on mute; with two passengers and no extra baggage.

These fuel economy figures are pretty good if you ask us. Will they be able to help convince you to choose the Changan CS75 Plus over the competition?
