Changan PH introduces the Nevo A05 PHEV at Php-1.195M

It’s going to be a very interesting time to be in the market for a sedan. With contenders like the incoming Toyota Ativ and heavyweights like the BYD Seal 5 DM-i, brands like Changan are entering the ring with the introduction of models like the Nevo A05 PHEV.

For Php 1,195,000, the Nevo A05 PHEV brings a lot to the table. It bears Changan’s “101” logo, which is part of the brand’s mid-range electric/plug-in hybrid vehicle lineup. 

It has a sleek, sharp design with features like automatic LED headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels, and a choice of four colors: White, Cloud Mountain Green, Andes Gray, and Titanium Light Silver Gray.

The interior is also very simple and features leather upholstery and up-to-date tech. There’s a 10-inch widescreen digital driver’s display, a 13.2-inch infotainment with support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, a sunroof, and a PM 2.5 air filter for the automatic climate control with rear climate vents.

The Nevo A05’s plug-in hybrid powertrain mates a 1.5-liter BlueCore gasoline engine, an electric motor, and a dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT) for a healthy power output of 212 horsepower and 330 Nm of torque.

Paired with an 18.4kWh lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) battery, it boasts an impressive range of 130km on pure electricity and 1,250km of combined range.

Safety-wise, it comes with a whole suite of advanced driver assistance systems like a 360-degree camera with built in dash cam functionality, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, traffic jam assist, automatic emergency braking, and the usual ABS, EBD, six airbags with curtain airbags, tire pressure monitoring, and traction control, to name a few.
