Chery Auto PH Sells Out First Batch of Tiggo 7 Pro In Just A Month

It may seem as a surprise for some but Chery Auto Philippines has sold-out all inventory of the first batch of its latest model, the Tiggo 7 Pro crossover.

“The warm market acceptance to the all-new Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is a strong indication that more and more Filipino buyers are no longer just settling for bargains or low-priced units, but are now looking for true great value, regardless of brand,” says Chery Auto Philippines President Rommel Sytin.

“Filipinos are now aware that they can get all the features—and even more—than what the established brands are giving, at a better price,” Sytin added.

The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro was introduced to the Philippine market in January this year and competes in the very popular compact crossover segment with the likes of the Ford Territory.

The new Tiggo 7 Pro’s European-inspired design was penned by a Briton who used to design BMWs and Mazdas, Chery’s Vice President and Global Chief of Car Design, Kevin Rice. Rice was instrumental in the design of Mazdas, including the MX-5, from 1999 to 2005 as Hiroshima’s European Design Director, and with BMW, for the exterior design of the previous 1, 3 and 4 Series.

The Tiggo 7 Pro features full LED lighting in front from the headlights to the foglights and even the turn signals for state-of-the-art road illumination. Other styling cues include a floating roof effect achieved by black wrap-around rear pillars, distinctive character lines, and 18-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the new Tiggo 7 Pro features leather-wrapped seats for a more premium feel. Red accents on the doors and dashboard blend with the sporty red double stitching on the dashboard as well as on the leather-wrapped seats and center armrest. Also biggest in its class is the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that boasts Bluetooth, Mirror Link, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and USB connectivity. It is paired to a 6-speaker audio system.

Other premium Tiggo 7 Pro features include a panoramic sunroof, multi-color cabin ambient lighting, 360-degree HD around-view monitor, a power tailgate, an electronic parking brake, a tire pressure monitoring system, and a fully digital instrument cluster.

The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is powered by a 1.5L turbocharged Euro 5-compliant four-cylinder engine coupled with a new continuously variable transmission (CVT). The Tiggo 7 Pro’s safety features include Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Electronic Brake Assist (EBA), Traction Control System (TCS), Hill Assist Control (HDC), Hill Descent Control (HDC), and ISOFIX child-seat tethers.

It also has a Brake Override System, which automatically overrides the throttle when the gas and brake pedals are accidentally depressed at the same time. The Tiggo 7 Pro also has an Emergency Signal System, which flashes the hazard lights at high speed if the driver suddenly brakes when traveling at high speed to more quickly alert the motorist following behind.

The new Tiggo 7 Pro is one with the rest of the Chery Auto Philippines lineup as it comes with the brand’s standard 10-year/1 million-km engine warranty, a 5-year/150,000-km general vehicle warranty, FREE 3-year preventive maintenance service (PMS), and FREE 3-year roadside assistance.

As of this writing, the all-new Chery Tiggo 7 Pro has a retail price of still, P1,198,000 as the distributor announced its absorption of the safeguard tariff until March 31, 2021.
