Chevrolet PH upgrades Trax, now called Trax Premier
Chevrolet Philippines has just given its subcompact Trax crossover some upgrades for the 2021 model year. Now known as the Trax Premier, it gets new exterior and interior bits, plus new safety features.
Most of the changes on the 2021 Trax Premier can be found on the outside. There’s black Chevrolet bowtie badging, 18-inch Carbon Gray alloy wheels, a Trax decal on the blacked-out C-pillar, and crossbars.

For the interior, the Trax Premier remains basically the same. The Premier LT variant does get an upgraded Chevy MyLink infotainment system which now supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Also new is a cabin air ionizer, dashcam, and a cargo tray.
Under the hood, the Trax still has the same powertrain. It is powered by a 1.4-liter EcoTec turbocharged petrol engine that produces 140 hp and 200 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission with power sent to the front wheels.
Safety features on the Trax Premier are 6 Airbags, Anti-Lock Braking System, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Cornering Brake Control, Traction Control, Rear Wheel Boost, Roll-over Mitigation, Panic Brake Assist, Straight Line Stability, Engine Drag Control, Hill-Start Assist, and Hill-Descent Control.
The 2021 Chevrolet Trax Premier is available in six different color choices with quirky names. These are Summit White, Abalone White Tri-coat, Switchblade Silver, Pull Me Over Red, Black Meet Kettle, and Seeker Metallic. Pricing starts at Php 1,185,888 for the Premier LS while the Premier LT is priced at Php 1,535,888.
