Did you know Toyota has a café in Thailand?

Yes, you read that right. It’s called Togeta Coffee.
Togeta is a mishmash of the words Toyota + Together, and this cafe is owned by Toyota Motor Thailand, made to promote locally grown Thai coffee.

The aesthetics of the café are clean, white, and brightly lit, using a lot of wood and aluminum in its design aesthetic. This is something that most cafes normally do, but Togeta Coffee takes things a step further with features inspired by the values of omotenashi.

Almost every table has easy access to outlets, and some even have built-in wireless chargers. All the seats feature different ergonomic accessories such as cushions, backrests, footrests, keyboard and mouse wrist rests (upon request), and one neat nod to Toyota’s heritage and history is the Toyota AA headlight-inspired light fixtures around the café.

Its beans are sustainably sourced from local Thai farmers, and quality/special brews are also made in cooperation with experts from the Thai Special Coffee Association (SCTAH). It’s also a way to help improve the quality of life of the coffee farmers under Thailand’s Royal Initiative Project of High-altitude Agricultural Development Station.

Plus, actually getting your coffee is a lot faster, as the Toyota Production System is implemented in the brewing process. The baristas all follow a specific process that minimizes waiting time and collision risks. According to the explanation, this reduces coffee preparation time down to at least 51 seconds per cup.

Of course, there is the Slow Bar, which has all the tools needed for pour-over coffee and for more delicate and complicated roasts. Plus, the café also offers several food items, takeaway beverages, and even merchandise.

The flagship Togeta Coffee branch can be found at the Zuellig House, MRT Silom Exit 2, Bangkok, Thailand.
