Everything you need to know about the 2020 Mitsubishi Xpander Cross

It’s not just another Xpander variant.

The launch of the Mitsubishi Xpander Cross back in March was one of those unfortunately cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While sales began back then, it didn’t exactly gain traction due to the different lockdowns around the country. Well Mitsubishi has officially introduced in July and it is definitely more than just another variant of the Xpander line up.

Mitsubishi Motors was one of the early car brands to introduce an MPV in the market. The Xpander to be exact was launched in 2018 and immediately received warm acceptance and quickly became one of the company’s best-selling products in the country. It was also the first vehicle in Mitsubishi’s portfolio to wear the company’s signature dynamic shield design. As mentioned earlier, the Xpander Cross was introduced in March as the top-spec variant of the Xpander lineup, with both aesthetic and performance upgrades while keeping all its best traits intact.

Exterior

In front, the Xpander Cross, just like the Xpander, has a very dynamic and bold face. It is characterized by Mitsubishi’s Dynamic Shield. LED headlights, protective lower bumper skid plates, roof rails, 17-inch alloy wheels, and black plastic wheel arch moldings and side body garnish are standard. In addition, the Xpander Cross gets a class-leading 225 mm of ground clearance, enough to rival larger mid-size SUVs. The suspension is also tuned differently. All in all, these upgrades make the Xpander Cross ready for any outdoor adventure.

Interior

Inside, the Xpander Cross features the same interior as the rest of the Xpander lineup and that isn’t a bad thing at all. The cabin is spacious and can seat 7 adults comfortably. The seats can also be configured in various settings making it able to accommodate all members of the family with enough and flexible space for any luggage needed on a trip.

The Xpander Cross’ interior also gets some upgrades over the standard Xpander. These come in the form of brown accents on the dashboard and seats, and leather material on the seats instead of fabric. A 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with steering wheel mounted audio controls also comes as standard. Power outlets can be found in the front, second, and third rows. Ample storage space for loose items can also be found around the cabin. These features make the Xpander Cross very user-friendly.

Pricing

The Mitsubishi Xpander Cross can be had for Php 1,255,000. It is also part of the ongoing Mitsubishi Motors Head Start Promo which means those who want to purchase an Xpander Cross can avail of free 2-months amortization with a low downpayment scheme. This promo is also offered on Xpander GLX Plus and GLS variants.
