This is the first owner of a Maxus G50 in PH

The first unit was released the day after the G50’s launch.

Maxus Philippines launched the all-new Maxus G50 before the end of last month, August 25 to be exact. In a press release sent out yesterday, the company showed off the first owner who hails from Cebu City.

The 2021 Maxus G50 is an 8-seater multi-purpose vehicle. While it can compete well in the usual 7-seater MPV segment, it can actually take on directly the popular Toyota Innova which is also an 8-seater MPV albeit pick-up based, which really had no direct competitor locally since its introduction.

The first ever owner is Mr. Jaime A. Pogoy Sr., a Cebu-based businessman, who purchased a Maxus G50 1.5 DCT Premium in Polar Ash (Gray). The unit was released at the Maxus dealership in North Reclamation Area, Cebu City. According to Mr. Pogoy, “it was love at first sight.”

“Nindot gyud and Maxus G50 kay pang family use gyud, ug mulakaw mi wala nay mabilin kay kuyug na namo  tanang pamilya. Aside sa top of the line siya mas comfortable gyud kaayo siya drivan (The G50 is perfect because it’s really for family use. So, when we go on trips, no one will have to be left behind; everyone in the family can now tag along. Aside from offering top-of-the-line features, the G50 is also comfortable to drive)” said Mr. Pogoy.

Just a few days later, the second unit, also a G50 1.5 DCT Premium was released to another Cebu-based businessman who requested his name to be withheld. According to this buyer, he also chose the G50 for his family’s use, citing that the 8-seat configuration and turbocharged 1.5-liter gasoline engine assured that the MPV provided both the space and power to transport his entire household.

The Maxus G50 can be had in three different variants, 1.5 DCT Pro, 1.5 DCT Elite, and 1.5 DCT Premium. They are priced at Php 1,088,000, Php 1,168,000, and Php 1,288,000 respectively. Maxus Philippines also has 8 dealerships around the country which are Maxus Quezon Avenue, Maxus Mandaluyong, Maxus Taguig-South, or Maxus Alabang for those in Metro Manila. For Visayas there’s Maxus Cebu and Maxus Bacolod, and Maxus Iloilo while for Mindanao is Maxus Cagayan de Oro.
