Ford PH launches 2020 Everest Sport

A sporty addition to the Ford Everest lineup.

Originally to be held on March 18, 2020 but postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 2020 Ford Everest Sport was finally launched today though online. It slots in between the Trend and Titanium 4×2 variants. Features and specs however are based on the Everest Titanium 4×2.

The Everest Sport gets various cosmetic upgrades over the Titanium 4×2. On the outside, chrome and silver trims are replaced with high-gloss black or body-colored trims. The front grille has also been changed to a sportier high-gloss black mesh design that looks a bit similar to that of the Ranger FX4. There is also Everest lettering on the hood just above the grille and “Sport” decal on the rear doors. Lastly, the 20-inch alloy wheels are also painted in a high-gloss black finish though the design is basically the same as on the Titanium variants.

Inside, the Everest Sport also gets some upgrades. The seats and dashboard get “Raceway Blue” contrast-colored stitching. The front seats in particular get the word “Sport” embossed into them. Standard features are basically the same as those on the Titanium 4×2 such as the SYNC3 infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Under the hood, the Everest Sport gets the same powertrain as the Titanium 4×2. It is a 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine with an output of 180 hp and 420 Nm of torque, paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

The 2020 Ford Everest Sport is priced at Php 1,868,000 and is available in four different color options which are Absolute Black, Aluminum Metallic, Arctic White, and exclusive to this variant Deep Crystal Blue. Units of the new variant should arrive in Ford dealerships nationwide within a few days.
