Ford PH sells over 1,000 Ranger Raptor V6 units since October 2024 launch

The Ford Ranger Raptor has always enjoyed a healthy amount of sales in the Philippines ever since it first entered the market in its previous generation form in 2018. Now, a generation later, it still continues to sell well.

Ford Philippines recently announced that the latest version of the blue oval’s performance-oriented midsize pickup truck’s V6-powered variant has been able to find over 1,000 homes since its local introduction at the 2024 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) in October last year.

Initially limited to just 300 units, high demand for the performance truck’s more powerful variant prompted the American automaker to make it a standard offering in its local lineup.

Compared to its turbodiesel-powered version, which also enjoys a fair amount of popularity, the Ranger Raptor V6 gets a larger and more powerful 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 gasoline engine under the hood. This is good for a respectable 397 horsepower and 583Nm of torque, mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Not only that, it also comes with adaptive dampers for its Fox suspension with 2.5-inch Live Valve Internal Bypass Shock Absorbers, an added front locking differential, Active Valve Exhaust system, and for its occupants, a premium 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system.

The response to the Ranger Raptor 3.0L V6 in its first year has been incredible,” says Ford Philippines Managing Director and President Pedro Simoes. “Customers have embraced it as both a serious performance pickup and a trusted everyday companion, and their stories show how strongly the truck fits Filipino lifestyles.”
