Ford Territory enters PH territory with Php 1.179M starting price

Ford’s new compact crossover is here and it’s competitive.

Ford Philippines has finally filled a gap in their lineup with the launch of the all-new Ford Territory. The new compact crossover model is aimed at young professionals and starting families.

For those unfamiliar with the Ford Territory, it is developed by Ford Motor Company and its joint venture partner Jiangling Motors Corporation (JMC). The Territory brings to life the Ford DNA in its design, engineering, and capability, following Ford’s highest global quality standards.

“The Ford Territory will boost our growing SUV lineup as a new product born out of Ford’s long-standing heritage and expertise in the utility segment,” says PK Umashankar, president and managing director, Ford Philippines. “We are confident that the Ford Territory will offer a new driving experience to Filipino customers as a modern, spacious and technologically-advanced SUV that delivers great value.”

Ford Philippines is offering the Ford Territory in Titanium+ and Trend variants, with a host of features and driver-assist technologies standard in both variants.

The Ford Territory’s exterior is undoubtedly Ford, with the company deeply involved, through its Ford Design Studio in Melbourne, Australia, in the development of the crossover’s contemporary appearance and look. Standard on both variants are LED headlamps, LED daytime running lamps, LED tail lamps, auto on/off headlamps with follow me home feature, front and rear fog lamps, panoramic moonroof, rear spoiler, and roof rails. The Titanium+ variant gets additional goodies in the form of 18” alloy wheels, gloss black with chrome inserts on the front grille, rain-sensing front windshield wipers, power folding mirrors, puddle lamps, and chrome exterior door handles.

Inside, both variants of the Ford Territory feature Smart Keyless Entry with Push Button Start, leather steering wheel with mounted controls, power door locks with central locking and speed sensing function, rear view mirror with auto-dimming function and high-mount USB port which is convenient for plugging in dashcams. It also gets a leather-covered center console with dual-lid opening, sunglass holder, 7 cup and bottle holders, and a 12-volt power outlet.

Exclusive interior features on the Titanium+ are heated and cooled front seats, and a 10-inch fully-digital display instrument cluster with 3 selectable themes which are Normal, Sport, and Fashion which kinda sounds interesting. Other exclusive features are tilt and telescopic steering wheel adjustment, power windows with one touch up/down function on all windows, as well as ambient lighting with seven different color options for different moods.

As for tech, the Territory won’t fall behind as it is equipped with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with adjustable quad view and Apple CarPlay & Android Auto compatibility, four USB ports and a six speakers audio system for the Trend while the Titanium+ gets eight. Wireless charging also comes exclusive to the Titanium+ variant.

Under the hood, both variants of the Ford Territory are powered by a 1.5L turbocharged EcoBoost engine. It produces 143 hp and 255 Nm of torque. It is paired to a continuously variable transmission. Also good to note is that with this powertrain, customers can enjoy lower service maintenance costs with a once-a-year scheduled service interval for a better ownership experience.

Safety is also priority with the Territory as the Titanium+ variant gets Ford Co-Pilot360, a suite of driver-assist technologies that includes Active Park Assist with parallel-parking and segment-first perpendicular parking, 360-degree around-view monitor, Adaptive Cruise Control with Forward Collision Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Information System and Lane Departure Warning. Driver-assist technologies standard in both variants are Electronic Stability Control including ABS, EBD and Traction Control, Hill Launch Assist, six airbags, rear parking sensors (front and rear on Titanium+), and Tire Pressure Monitoring System with individual tire pressure display. Both variants are also equipped with a High Mount Stop Lamp and ISOFIX.

The all-new Ford Territory comes in six different colors, including Ruby Red, Diffused Silver, and Panther Black for both variants, Star White for the Trend variant, and Crystal Pearl White and Moonstone Blue for the Titanium+ variant.

With the all-new Ford Territory fully-loaded with features and tech, you probably expect its pricing to be around the 2-million peso range. Well you’ll be surprised to know that all-new Ford Territory’s pricing starts at just Php 1,179,000 for the Trend, while the Titanium+ goes for Php 1,299,000. In addition to that, as a launch offer, all customers who will purchase Ford Territory from August 14 to September 15, 2020 will get a free 3-year scheduled service plan (SSP) for a worry-free ownership experience.
