Foton is the 10th best selling car brand in PH for 2020

We are already aware of the top 10 best selling vehicle models in the country last year thanks to several articles and write-ups available online. Of course, there are also the 10 best selling brands and completing the Top 10 is Foton.

Foton Motor Philippines, Inc. (FMPI) ended 2020 with a prominent achievement, joining the elite ranks of the country’s Top 10 best selling automotive brands and the country’s only Chinese brand in the list. Bucking the multiple challenges brought about by the pandemic and through judicious switching of business and marketing strategies.

In total, Foton was able to register sales of 2,456 units from January to December 2020 as reported by the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI).

Among those 2,456 units, 15.88% were of the Gratour series, and 19.5% for the TransVan, making it the brand’s best selling van for 2020. With a substantial percentage of the industry’s total sales focused on commercial vehicle trucks, the Tornado Series contributed to 44.22% of truck sales, garnering the title for the third best selling light-duty truck brand in the country for the third consecutive year. The Tornado Series features multi-functional capabilities combined with a selection of high-strength customizable bodies such as Ref-Van, MPV, F-Van, Dropside, and Crane Trucks, making it a perfect mobility partner for various transportation, delivery, and hauling services.
