Here are the full details of Toyota Motor PH’s new 5-year vehicle warranty

A few days ago, we reported that Toyota Motor Philippines is finally giving its customers a longer vehicle warranty. From the original three-years or 100,000 km warranty, this has been extended to five-years or 140,000 km, whichever comes first.

With no formal announcement at the time, details were scarce. Now, the Japanese automaker has given us the full details so keep reading to find out.

For starters, the longer warranty will be applicable to all brand-new Toyota vehicles that were sold from January 1, 2025 onwards.

Of course, as with any brand, you should be diligent in doing your vehicle’s preventive maintenance service at authorized Toyota dealerships.

As such, customers who will avail at least six PMS at any Toyota dealer with at least one PMS per year during the standard three-year or 100,000 km warranty period will qualify for the fourth year full coverage additional warranty, which has the same coverage as the original warranty.

Meanwhile, customers who will avail less than six PMS will only qualify for a fourth year limited coverage additional warranty on the condition that they were able to avail three to five PMS with at least one PMS per year at any Toyota dealer. The limited coverage additional warranty does not cover wear and tear parts related to suspension, steering, and brakes system.

Customers who are able to avail the fourth year full coverage additional warranty are eligible for an additional one year or 20,000 km extension on the fifth year provided that they were able to avail at least two PMS during the fourth year ownership period.

Well there you have it, more peace of mind for new Toyota owners. Just make sure to follow your vehicle’s prescribed PMS schedule to be able to take full advantage of the new and longer warranty.
