The fully-electric Isuzu D-MAX has been revealed with 190 horsepower and 263km of range

A little over a year since it was presented in concept form at the 2024 Bangkok International Motor Show in Thailand, the fully-electric Isuzu D-MAX EV has been revealed in production form.
The first fully-electric pickup truck from a Japanese automaker globally, the Isuzu D-MAX EV is now being produced in Thailand and will first be exported to European market countries with sales starting in March 2026.

The D-MAX EV ditches its turbodiesel powertrain in favor of dual electric motors that produce a total of 190 horsepower just like the brand’s 3.0-liter 4JJ3-TCX engine, along with 325 Nm of torque. 0 to 100kph acceleration time is estimated at 10.1 seconds and top speed is over 130kph.

The motors are paired with a 66.9kWh lithium-ion battery pack that offers a range of up to 263km. It can be topped up through 50kW DC charging for one hour (10-80%) or via 11kW AC charging for 10 hours (0-100%).
The powertrain is also equipped with an energy-saving Eco mode and selectable regenerative braking modes.
It’s also able to match the turbodiesel D-MAX’s carrying capabilities with a maximum payload capacity of 1,010kg and a maximum towing capacity of 3,500kg.

Setting apart the D-MAX EV from its turbodiesel variants are blue highlights on the front grille and EV badging. Other stuff are almost identical such as the six-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels on higher trims, LED headlights, and seven-inch instrument cluster, among others.

Do you think there is a market in the Philippines for a fully-electric Isuzu D-MAX? If Isuzu Philippines decides to launch it here, it’ll surely be something different from what we’re used to from the brand.
