GAC Motor PH is bringing the M8 PHEV at MIAS 2025
We’re just a few days from the 20th Manila International Auto Show (MIAS). In the days leading to then, various car brands are giving sneak peeks, previews, and teasers of what we can expect from them at the four-day motor show
One brand is GAC Motor Philippines which has confirmed through a teaser on their socials that they will be showcasing the plug-in hybrid electric (PHEV) variant of their M8 luxury minivan.
Powering the GAC M8 PHEV is still a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine. It is paired this time with an electric motor, making a total combined output of 373 horsepower and 630 Nm of torque.
With a 25.57 kWh battery, it can drive on full electric power alone for an estimated 130km, while total combined range is said to be over 1,000km.
Other than the plug-in hybrid powertrain, we can expect the M8 PHEV to be largely the same as the standard M8 with the aggressive and stately exterior, and very luxurious cabin.
We don’t have to wait too long to find out more about the GAC M8 PHEV as the MIAS 2025 is happening on April 13-18 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila in Pasay City.
