GAC Motor PH To Launch 2nd-Gen GS4 Crossover

If you compare them to some competitors such as Geely or Chery, we have to admit that GAC Motor Philippines’ growth since they launched in the country back in 2018 isn’t as fast. That won’t stop them from introducing new models though as they just announced the launch of three new vehicles, including the all-new GS4 crossover.
Announced today at a virtual media roundtable, the second generation GAC GS4 was first revealed in China in 2019 for the 2020 model year. The current GS4 available locally was first revealed in 2015 making it very ripe for replacement locally.
No information whatsoever was given by GAC Motor PH during the media roundtable but based on our research, we were able to get some possible specifications and features. These include bi-LED headlights, LED taillights, a 360-degree around-view monitor, 12.3-inch infotainment system, and a fully-digital instrument cluster.
As with other Chinese vehicles in the country, expect it to be powered by a 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine. This is good for 169 hp and 265 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed Aisin automatic transmission.
There’s no word if the new GAC GS4 will make it to the country before the end of this year. It may happen early next year. Perhaps we’ll just have to wait a little bit more for some information.
