Green GSM is the newest all-electric taxi company in PH

Looking for an eco-friendly taxi ride in the Philippines? You might want to try out Green GSM which has just been launched in the country with a big inaugural event held at the Quezon Memorial Circle in Quezon City
Owned by the Vingroup which also owns Vietnamese automaker VinFast, the Philippines is Green GSM’s third market outside Vietnam after Laos, and Indonesia since it was founded in 2023. It will first begin operations in Metro Manila, specifically 10 out of the 16 cities in the capital region.
Green GSM operates a fleet of VinFast Nerio Green full EVs painted in the company’s very bright signature cyan colorway. Like usual taxis, fares are computed through built-in taxi meters, but with the vehicle monitored for every movement for added safety.
“The Philippines marks a strategic chapter in our Go Green Global journey. But more than expanding to a new market, our true goal is to ignite a real transformation – shifting from traditional mobility to an electric future that is cleaner, smarter, and more socially responsible,” said Green and Smart Mobility Joint Stock Company (GSM) CEO Nguyễn Văn Thanh.
Those interested in trying out this new all-electric taxi service may do so by booking a ride through the Green GSM mobile phone app which is available in the App Store and Google Play Store, or by calling the Green GSM hotline at (02) 7777-8080, or simply by hailing one on the street or at designated public pick-up points or stops throughout Metro Manila.
Green GSM is also offering an exclusive launch promotion until August 31, 2025, giving 500 Green Points (equivalent to Php 500) that can be applied as a discount for first-time users in their first seven trips.
