Honda to Make Financial Donation to Support Humanitarian Efforts in Ukraine
The Honda Motor Co., Ltd is set to donate an amount of 1-million euros (approximately 130-million yen or Php 57-million) to support efforts for the people affected by the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.
The donation amount will also support the activities of countries receiving refugees from Ukraine.
“Honda Motor Co., Ltd. will donate 1 million euro (approximately 130 million yen) to the Japanese Red Cross Society as humanitarian support for the many people in Ukraine and neighboring areas who are facing extraordinary difficulties. Through the Japanese Red Cross Society, the donation will be used to help address the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine and to support relief activities in countries receiving refugees from Ukraine. Honda sincerely wishes that the current emergency situation will come to an end as soon as possible and that peace will be restored all around the world,” read the company’s statement.
Honda is not the only Japanese car brand to announce donations for war-stricken Ukraine. Just last week, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. announced the same, and also the suspension of their Russian operations.
