Honda to produce heritage parts starting with NSX

For those lucky enough to own a few of a brand’s heritage sports cars, getting parts is an issue, especially when you have to look for genuine parts that aftermarket manufacturers can’t reproduce.

In the case of Japanese manufacturers, we’ve seen this movement with brands such as Toyota, Mazda, and Nissan. This time, Honda joins the bandwagon, starting off with the first-generation NSX, starting in the spring of 2026.

Thanks to advancements in 3D printing and remanufacturing, this enables Honda to create alternative parts for discontinued models that meets the standards for genuine parts.

One good part about this program is that it will be available globally. If you live in Japan, there will also be a restoration program that will utilize these new genuine parts so it can accommodate even more models in the future.

More details for this program will be released in the fall of 2025, but it’s always nice to see brands support their loyal customers.
