Hyundai Makati reopens under Gateway Group
Hyundai Motor Philippines has announced the reopening of its dealership in one of the country’s central business districts, specifically in Makati City.
Now under the management of Gateway Group, one of the largest automotive dealership companies in the country, Hyundai Makati is the first Hyundai dealership to be managed by the Cebu-based dealer group and also the first authorized retailer and service facility for Hyundai electric vehicles.
“Now, Hyundai is certainly a reputable brand which has certainly stood the test of time, and we have very much enthused to jumpstart this venture and journey. The Hyundai brand has captured the hearts of many Filipinos years ago and now with this economy thriving, with the market high in demand, we are eager to capitalize on all opportunities. We want to take the Hyundai brand back to where it rightfully belongs, and soar even higher than before,” says Goho.
The newly reopened facility features a 280 sqm showroom that can house five (5) vehicles on display, a 1,167 sqm service area with six (6) work bays for ICE vehicles and two (2) for electric vehicles.
As the first authorized retailer and service facility for Hyundai vehicles in the country, Hyundai Makati is equipped with a 22 kW AC Charger and a 50 kW DC Charger. The latter enables an EV’s battery level to reach 80% from 20% in as fast as 30 minutes. It also carries specialized Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) service tools and equipment and standard safety aids. Four more Hyundai EV retailers and service centers are expected to be operational this year in Alabang, Cebu North, Pampanga, and Pasig.
