Is the Maxus D60 coming to PH?

A spec-sheet was leaked on Facebook.

Chinese-branded and/or made crossovers are becoming a thing in the country now. The Geely Coolray is extremely popular and so is the MG ZS. Chery is also gaining popularity and the recently launched Ford Territory as well.

It looks like we’ll be seeing another Chinese crossover introduced in the market soon, as evidenced by a photo comment we stumbled upon on Facebook.

The leaked photo shows the possible specifications of the Maxus D60. This compact crossover was first revealed last year during the Shanghai Auto Show. It was developed from the Tarantula concept car which shows in its aggressive exterior design.

Our friends at Maxus Philippines requested that the specifications of the D60 be kept private. They also didn’t deny or ignore whether it will be coming to the market which is good information in itself.

What we can tell you is that it will be a bit generous in terms of what we were able to see. We also get a small bit of information for the pricing but we can only say that it will be able to compete very well with other Chinese crossovers in the market.

This is not official yet so as with many leaks, we should take these information with a grain of salt. If this is launched though, it could be a direct competitor to the Ford Territory, Chery Tiggo 8 and Geely Azkarra, provided that it is priced within the range shown in the list. We should also wait for the official announcement from Maxus Philippines which could be within the next few months.
