Isuzu PH’s Robert Carlos is the new president of the Truck Manufacturers Association

The Truck Manufacturers Association, Inc. (TMA) welcomes its new President Robert Carlos of Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC), who joins Chairman Emeritus Vicente Mills Jr. of Hino Motors Philippines Corporation (HMP) in the association’s top leadership roles.

This was announced alongside the association’s announcement of its member brands’ performance for the year 2025 which were consistent from the previous year. Carlos currently serves as the Division Head for Sales at IPC, while Mills serves as the Chairman of HMP.

Based on combined data with the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI), TMA member brands recorded 6,783 units sold for Category III trucks, 3,690 units for Category IV trucks and buses, and 888 units for Category V heavy-duty trucks.

TMA says that compared with 2024, overall sales levels were largely maintained, signaling a steady market as the industry adjusted to normalized demand and inventory conditions. Meanwhile, they also expressed strong optimism for truck sales in 2026, citing the successful

achievement of industry targets in 2025 as a solid foundation for future growth. Continued government infrastructure projects, improving logistics demand, and increasing investments in fleet modernization are expected to aid in maintaining, if not improving, demand for trucks in the coming year.

Having achieved our industry truck sales targets in 2025, we are confident about the positive outlook for 2026. With sustained infrastructure development and vibrant economic activity, our member companies are well-prepared to meet the growing demand for reliable, efficient, and innovative commercial vehicles that support the country’s development goals,” said new TMA President Robert Carlos.

TMA member brands include IVECO Truck & Bus Philippines, Ford Philippines, Fuso Philippines, Hino Motor Philippines, Isuzu Philippines, JMC Philippines, MAN Truck & Bus Philippines, Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicles Philippines, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines, and Toyota Motor Philippines.
