It looks like the Nissan Navara will be getting another facelift

A few days ago, Nissan released a handful of teasers to show the world that they’re far from slowing down despite recent struggles. Among them is the photo above, showing a future pickup truck and subcompact sedan for the Latin America region.
Reading through the press release, the Japanese automaker has confirmed that these are in fact the Frontier or Navara midsize pickup truck and Versa (Almera for the Philippines) subcompact sedan. We’ll focus on the Navara as a new one is well overdue with the current generation already soldiering on for well over a decade, having first appeared in 2014.

Despite signs pointing to an all-new generation based on the Mitsubishi Triton, it appears that the Navara will be getting a major facelift instead. This is evident when enhancing the image to show more of the darkened areas where the vehicle’s cab are visibly identical to before with the same doors, windows, and side mirrors.

Everything towards the front has been completely redesigned, and it seems so for the rear section as well. The front fascia gets a more upright and rugged look, and the headlights get a tri-bar daytime running light signature similar to the new-generation Kicks. Also visible are more rugged-looking fender flares and new wheel design.

Nissan has also said that it will come with “evolved design, enhanced infotainment and impressive suite of advanced driver assist technologies.”
Other than that, there isn’t much information. Nissan did mention that this new Frontier or Navara will be released in fiscal year 2026 (April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027). As for the Mitsubishi Triton-based version, we’ll probably have to look out for more information.
