It’s been 10 years since the ND Miata came to PH

It still feels as if 2015 was only a few years ago, but it actually has been a whole decade since then. Several noteworthy things happened that year, and one of them was the launch of the fourth-generation Mazda MX-5 in the Philippines.
Mazda Philippines recently celebrated the 10th anniversary of the beloved roadster, known to enthusiasts as the ND Miata, in the country, bringing together MX-5 owners and owner-members from the Miata Club of the Philippines.

In fact, Mazda Philippines has sold a total of 1,563 units of the ND since its launch (as of June 2025), making our market the top market of the model in Asia, outside the brand’s home market of Japan. 2023 was also its best year with 205 units sold locally.
It’s following is so good that we also got two Philippine-exclusive special editions: the MX-5 MCP (Miata Club of the Philippines) 25th Anniversary Edition and the MX-5 Miata Cup 23rd Anniversary Edition. This is on top of globally-available 30th, 35th, and 100th Anniversary Editions, which also made their way to our market.

Its latest version, known as the ND3, was introduced locally last year, adding some performance upgrades such as Kinematic Posture Control (KPC), Dynamic Stability Control with Track Mode (DSC-Track), and an Asymmetric Limited Slip Differential (A-LSD). It also came with refreshed looks, along with an upgraded infotainment system.
