As one of the many manufacturers in the 2025 Tokyo Auto Salon at the Makuhari Messe in Japan on January 10-12, Mitsubishi’s main focus is showing how its latest Triton pickup truck can be customized in multiple ways, alongside a few other of its Japanese-market vehicles in different guises.

At least four different Tritons will be on display, the first being brand ambassador Hiromi’s custom Triton, a take on “a truck that blends into urban driving environments”. It features many accessories, bolt-on overfenders, a body kit, and large RAYS TE37 wheels to complement the lowered stance.

The second is a Triton made in partnership with Red Bull Japan, where the cargo bed has been converted into a DJ booth.

Then, the winning entry of the Triton Custom Contest will be shown off.

The Outlander PHEV Night Seeker Concept has a design that would feel right at home in the stealthy environment of the Metal Gear Solid video games, featuring modifications that allow it to go almost anywhere the driver needs.

Then, the Delica D:5 Black Edition Active Seeker is a little more grounded in reality as the off-road bits and matte gunmetal finish are complemented by graphics that resemble a topographical map of Tokachi, Hokkaido– the location of Mitsubishi’s proving grounds.

Finally, the trio of Asian Cross Country (AXCR) 2024 rally cars will be present, the Triton rally car, the Delica D:5 support car, and the adorable Delica Mini support car, which all have successfully traversed the entire rally course.
