Jeep PH launches Gladiator, starts at Php 3.89M
Seven months after first announcing that it will be available in the Philippine market, Jeep Philippines, under the distributorship of Auto Nation Group (ANG), has officially launched the Jeep Gladiator.
Launched online on July 11, 2020, the Jeep Gladiator is now available in the country in two variants, the Sport and the Rubicon.
The exterior design is obviously based on the Jeep Wrangler. In front, the Gladiator gets the company’s signature seven-slot grille and a set of round LED headlights just like in the Wrangler. The whole front end is basically the same as that of the Wrangler. It also gets a Power Dome dual vented hood which helps cool the engine compartment. The large fenders can take in a set of 35-inch tires and a steel rear bumper is standard.
Inside, the similarities with the Wrangler it’s based on don’t end. The dashboard is straight out of the Wrangler and comes with an 8.4-inch UConnect touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Under the hood is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 powertrain that produces 285 horsepower and 352 Newton-meters of torque. It is paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission. These figures allow the Gladiator to have a 1,600 kg payload capacity and a 3,175 kg towing capacity.
For pricing, the Jeep Gladiator starts at Php 3,890,000 for the Sport variant, and goes up to Php 4,790,000 for the Rubicon. See what other specifications the Gladiator Sport and Rubicon have below.
