Jetour T1 achieves a five-star safety rating from ASEAN NCAP

Earlier this year, the New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP) announced that the Jetour T2 gained a five-star safety rating after an assessment done before the end of last year.
Well, it looks like Jetour is on a safety streak as following that, its T1 plug-in hybrid (PHEV) compact crossover was recently also awarded with a five-star safety rating from the vehicle safety assessment body.

Tested under the previous ASEAN NCAP 2021-2025 Protocol, the Jetour T1 achieved a total score of 87.67 out of 100 points. This result is based on the following assessment categories, along with each individual score:
- Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) – 38.09 out of 40 points
- Child Occupant Protection (COP) – 16.18 out of 20 points
- Safety Assist (SA) – 17.14 out of 20 points
- Motorcyclist Safety (MS) – 16.25 out of 20 points
“As the latest addition to the Jetour lineup, the T1 offers a compelling alternative for consumers seeking a rugged, adventurous aesthetic in a more compact, manoeuvrable package. We are encouraged to see that Jetour has maintained a high standard of safety technology integration in this smaller model. We look forward to seeing more Jetour models enter the Southeast Asian market equipped with essential safety innovations for our consumers,” said the ASEAN NCAP in a press release.
As seen above, the ASEAN NCAP 2021–2025 assessment protocol encompasses four categories. With the start of 2026, the 2021–2025 assessment protocol has now concluded, with all assessments starting this year to be conducted under the new 2026–2030 protocol.
