JMS 2025 | The all-new Toyota Corolla Concept rewrites the books for the beloved compact sedan nameplate
We already have an idea of how it looks, and now we’re seeing it in the flesh. Say hello to the all-new Toyota Corolla Concept which marks a new chapter for the long-running and one of the top-selling compact sedan nameplates in the world.
Unveiled in the metal at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, the Corolla Concept takes on a different direction when it comes to design with a more futuristic and modern appearance, as we first saw in teaser images.
The front fascia is composed of sleek and striking lines. The rear goes for a more streamlined fastback shape which should up aerodynamics, and provides a more sporty appearance. Being that we are after all in 2025, a light bar is present.
Toyota is also hinting the move of adding a fully electric powertrain in the future with the lack of a front grille. It doesn’t come off as a surprise in this day and age, but we won’t be surprised as well to see a hybrid powertrain come into the options list.
While it will likely be dumbed down prior to production, it still marks a huge departure from what we’re used to from the Toyota Corolla, and is a definite sign of things to come.
