Jun Cajayon is new GAC Motor PH brand head

Astara Philippines, the new local distributor of the GAC Motor brand, has announced Redentor “Jun” Cajayon as the new Brand Head for GAC Motor Philippines.

Cajayon comes to Astara Philippines with close to 30 years of extensive sales, marketing and network development experience gained from the automotive industry. Previously, he was General Manager for Maxus Philippines under Ayala Corporation’s AC Motors. As Brand Head for GAC Motor Philippines, he will be responsible for driving strategic marketing direction, sales programs and dealer network development for the GAC Motor brand in the market.

We have achieved significant milestones in our first year with Peugeot and we are confident that we will do the same for GAC Motor this year. Jun is a seasoned executive with an impressive track record, and we are happy to have him on board to drive GAC Motor to new heights through impactful marketing and sales campaigns,” said Raoul Picello, managing director of Astara Philippines.

Under Astara, GAC Motor Philippines is set to launch the highly-anticipated Empow and all-new GS8 SUV on January 18, rounding up its vehicle line up to five nameplates including the current models of the GS3, GS4 and GN6. The company is also scheduled to open new showroom and service facilities within the first quarter to further expand its network reach across the country.

GAC Motor was first introduced to the Philippine market in November 2018 by its previous distributor. Astara Philippines took over distributorship late last year.
