Kia unwraps the Concept EV2

At Kia’s EV Day held in Spain, the Korean automaker finally takes the wraps off the concept of what is to be its littlest member of the Kia EV family (unless an EV1 is planned), the Concept EV2.

Slated to launch in Europe and other regions this coming 2026, this B-segment SUV features the brand’s “Opposites United” design language targeted to “lifestyle-driven buyers”.

It sets itself apart with a unique quad-DRL light signature, lots of plastic cladding, square-design wheels, and L-shaped taillights. The concept has no B pillar and suicide doors allowing for the occupants of the multi-configurable interior to enjoy a wide-open space.

Because of the flat floor, the second-row bench can fold upwards, allowing occupants to push the front-row bench to slide back as far as possible to allow for a more comfortable sitting position, or even sit on the flat floor to enjoy a meal, similar to a picnic.

And those triangular speakers found in the door cards? These are removable and can be rearranged within the cabin, and can even be taken out from the vehicle to be used as portable speakers.

Other tech found in the concept includes a small display that allows occupants to display short messages to other road users, and pop-up luggage dividers help increase the practicality of the little B-segment electric SUV.

While most of those features will most likely not make it to the production vehicle, we can expect the interior and exterior design to mostly make it over, seeing how the EV4 and PV5 look very similar to the concepts. Are you excited for this vehicle?
