In an unexpected turn of events, Nissan Philippines, Inc. (NPI) has announced the appointment of its new president.

Tsutsumi is currently the senior vice president of Nissan Motor Thailand and has over two decades of experience in marketing, brand, sales, and aftersales in various industries including fast-moving consumer goods, technology and electronics, and food services. He joined Nissan in 2018 under the Japan Brand and Media Strategy and became part of the ASEAN Market in 2021.

Meanwhile, the new role of outgoing NPI President Yasuhisa Masuda is yet to have been announced.

Under his leadership, NPI expanded its presence in the country with an additional four dealerships added to its network. The company’s vehicle lineup was also expanded with the introduction of the Z Nismo and Almera Sport. He will also still be present at the upcoming launch of the all-new Patrol slated for the end of this month.
