Maxus PH teases D60 compact crossover

Another fighter in the segment.

Just two weeks ago we posted here on our website an article on the possible launch of the Maxus D60. We based this on a leaked spec sheet we found while scrolling through Facebook.

It looks like Maxus Philippines will really be introducing the new compact crossover, barely two months after its successful launch of the G50 MPV, and the brand’s introduction into the market just last year. The company officially announced that the Maxus D60 will be joining its growing lineup which consists of the T60 pick-up, the G10 9-seater MPV, and the V80 van.

The addition of this new stylish compact SUV (available in 7-seater configuration) signals Maxus Philippines’ intention to become a serious and aggressive competitor in the SUV market. Other than that, there is no news on the exact specifications of the local version. It will most likely have a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine just like other Chinese crossovers.

We expect the all-new 2021 Maxus D60 to be priced competitively just like other Chinese crossovers in the market. It could be a direct competitor to the Ford Territory, Chery Tiggo 8 and Geely Azkarra. There’s ni announcement as to the launch date but we can also expect Maxus PH to announce this within the next few days or weeks.
