MIAS 2025 | All-new Suzuki Dzire arrives in PH with Php 920K starting price

Suzuki Philippines usually goes big at motor shows. For this year’s Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), the Japanese automaker is launching the all-new Dzire.
Initially revealed for the Indian market last year, Suzuki’s smallest (and only) sedan offering in our market is now in its fourth generation (third in the Philippines) and continues to be underpinned by the brand’s HEARTECT platform. It brings with it a host of improvements and upgrades compared to the previous version.

Measuring at the same 3,995mm of length and 1,735mm of width as before, and a slightly higher 1,525mm (+10mm), the all-new Dzire gets its own design direction, driving away from its Swift-like appearance from previous generations. It also gets two variants: 1.2 GL CVT and 1.2 GLX CVT.

It wears what Suzuki dubs as its Striking Wide front fascia with a slatted-front grille flanked by LED headlights. The side profile looks more cohesive this time around all the way to the back, which has boomerang-shaped taillight signature.

The interior still shares a lot of resemblance as the new Swift but that’s not a problem as it takes the nameplate into the modern world with design cues such as a floating-style infotainment system and sleek lines.

Both variants get LED headlights, chrome-accented front grille, and a dual-tone black and beige interior. The GL comes with 14-inch steel wheels, digital airconditioning controls, and a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Going for the GLX adds 15-inch alloy wheels, a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and automatic climate control.

Under the hood of the all-new Suzuki Dzire is a 1.2-liter Z12E three-cylinder naturally-aspirated gasoline engine paired to an electric motor and 0.072kWh battery. It produces 82 horsepower and 112 Nm of torque, and is mated to a CVT.
Safety-wise, the Dzire now comes standard with six airbags, along with anti-lock brakes, stability control, electronic brakeforce distribution, hill hold control, and a reverse camera.
Pricing starts at Php 920,000 for the 1.2 GL CVT variant, and goes up to Php 998,000 for the 1.2 GLX CVT. With that price, the new looks, and what it has, are they desirable enough for you? Hehe.
